About Pilates For Wellbeing

Pilates for Wellbeing (PFW) is India’s first fully equipped state of the art - Classical Pilates Studio, practicing the authentic methods of wellbeing devised by the founder Joseph H. Pilates. It is a world class facility, spanning over 2000 Sq Ft opened in October 2015, designed to meet international standards and to provide customers a holistic and low intensity fitness regime.

 Pilates for Wellbeing preserves the rigour and methods of Classical Pilates, scientifically personalised for varied abilities and needs, to create a safe and progressively advanced fitness program to benefit anyone - young or old, strong, weak or even those requiring rehabilitation.

Faculty at (PFW) are internationally trained and offer a unique experience to every client that they work with. They are carry a rich diversity of experience working with different nationalities and are very compassionate and motivating in translating the Classical Pilates movement practice to their clients. Instructors at (PFW) are committed to continuing their journey as Pilates Professionals since they believe in the value of continued education and advanced certifications.

Kavita Prakash, the Founder & Principal Instructor at Pilates for Wellbeing, is a Graduate of the Advanced Teacher’s Training Program from The Pilates Centre, Boulder, Colorado. Kavita brings her passion, clarity, knowledge and commitment of Classical Pilates to India. With her wealth of international training and experience in Classical Pilates, Kavita brings a unique approach to fitness and wellbeing that helps transform the people she works with. Her focus and complete dedication to every individual she works with, combined with her attention to detail has lead people to experience a sense of alignment and harmony with their bodies like never before.

Additional Information

Private Lesson (60 Mins)

A Private Lesson is a one on one session with an Instructor. It is highly recommended that one begins their Pilates practice with a few Private Lessons so as to ensure that the Instructor is able to gauge the client’s capabilities, range of motion, inefficiencies, posture, strength & weakness. In a Private Lesson the Instructor devotes undivided attention to a client’s specific needs and goals. The Instructor also provides develops a customized program utilizing all the Pilates equipment & props to produce optimum results.

Duet Lesson (60 Mins)

A Duet Lesson is a one to two session with an Instructor. It is designed similarly to a Private Lesson but training with a partner, spouse, friend or any one that you may choose to exercise with. Duets work best when you and your partner can commit to the same schedule and have similar physical abilities & goals. It is also a great strategy to work-out with a partner to help motivate each other.

Introductory Group Mat Class (60 Mins)

 An Introductory Group Mat Class will accept a min of 2 and max of 4 clients. This class is only open to those who are new to Classical Pilates or to those who have had no previous Pilates experience with us. The Introductory class will cover a foundational repertoire of skills and exercises. This class is taught at a slower pace as there is an emphasis on proper technique and execution throughout the session. One can expect to leave this class feeling worked out and energized. This is a progressive class and will prepare you for a Group Mat Beginner/Intermediate Class.
